Aphasia WA’s Words of Wellness Forum is happening again! Join us for a day dedicated to people living with aphasia in WA and their supporters. It is an opportunity to share stories, learn new things and to have fun.
Aphasia WA held a unique one – day event aimed at sharing the ways people with aphasia maintain wellness and wellbeing. It included talks from people living with aphasia from across WA; a talk about grief and loss from Social Worker Iris Barten; a meditation workshop by Dr Britta Biedermann of Curtin University and a group sing-along. To mark the International Day of people with Disability, Aphasia WA hosted a supper and bowls night at the Lake Monger Recreation Club in Wembley. A wonderful evening was held with over thirty people celebrating, including many people living with aphasia and their supporters.READ MORE
